COVID-19 Mitigation & Safety Procedures (as of 1/13/22)
The 2021 Weston Cup & Showcase, with 710 teams, was successfully held in February 2021 in Broward County (Weston) and Collier County (Naples) with no covid related issues. We are confident that the 2022 Weston Cup & Showcase will also be a successful event, both on and off the field, for the players, coaches, families, and tournament staff.
We are in communication with local and county health departments and follow CDC guidelines and recommendations. Below are websites with pertinent information:

Beyond the requirements/mandates, the Weston Cup & Showcases encourages participants to follow optional guidelines or recommendations established by local and state public health authorities, to the extent applicable and possible. Members are always expected to err on the side of caution in health and safety matters.
Important Ways to Slow the Spread of COVID-19 (CDC)
- Get a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as you can. Find a vaccine.
- Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth to help protect yourself and others.
- Stay 6 feet apart from others who don’t live with you.
- Test to prevent spread to others.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available.
Don’t Participate if You Are Sick (CDC)
If you have COVID-19, have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, or have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, know when to quarantine and get tested.
People who have come into close contact with someone with COVID-19 should be tested to check for infection:
- Fully vaccinated people should be tested 5–7 days after their last exposure.
- People who are not fully vaccinated should get tested immediately when they find out they are a close contact. If their test result is negative, they should get tested again 5–7 days after their last exposure or immediately if symptoms develop.
